Welcome back!

We want to give a warm welcome back to parents and students of Bankstown Montessori Preschool for term 2. We hope that everyone had a great break and is ready for a new term full of exciting things.

Commonwealth Games

We ended the school term with our very own Commonwealth Games for the children. It turned out to be a great success and the children were delighted to work in teams with their friends, race and play with all the fun activities the teachers had set up for them. They all went home with fun stories from the day and gold medals they had made themselves in the class room.
What a great day fill with physical activities, team work and self accomplishment!

We hope everyone had a great first term and is looking forward to coming back to school very soon.

A Feast Of Stories

Bronwyn Vaughan - A Feast of Stories
Bronwyn Vaughan – Feast of Stories

Last week on Thursday the 8th of March the school welcomed Bronwyn Vaughan to present a play called “ A Feast of Stories” for the children. This was brought to us by YoungAustraliaWorkshop. The play was a great success and the children were delighted to watch such wonderful story telling. We look forward to having more workshops from YoungAus for the children in the following terms to come.

A Feast of Stories
Take three delicious stories from Mexico, Morocco and Spain. Mix with moorish music and flamenco dance. Pepper with gorgeous puppets, costumes and props. throw in a pinch of magic and a dash of fun. The stir it all up for a spicy story telling feast. This delightful performance, about the making and sharing of food, celebrates the essential role played by food across all the cultures.
